Updates / Olympics

Today was a big day for antlerdarts. First of all, I redesigned the page. We all can agree that it was time for the old look to go. Secondly, we are now a dot com, or should I say www.antlerdarts.com!

Other than updating the blog, I've been hooked on the olympics. I don't know what it is about them, but once you start watching, you can't stop. One event finishes, you are satisfied, and another one comes on. At this point you're thinking "ok one more." Five events and one hour later, you haven't moved. Besides for my newly-found commitment to tv, I actually enjoy the olympics. This shot is from the opening ceremony:

While watching them I've encountered a lot of interesting music. Before a competitor takes to their event, NBC shows a 1-2 minute video clip, bringing viewers up to speed with the athletes olympic history, as well as their life stories. I've heard some great Beastie Boys b-sides, Zero 7, and many others, during these briefs.

The Beastie Boys track I heard, In 3's, is from their first instrumental cd "The In Sound From Way Out." For those of you who dig this, I recommend getting a copy of "The Mix-Up."

In The Waiting Line, by Zero 7, was made famous from the Garden State Soundtrack.

This music isn't something you'd expect from the olympics, but I'm game for good tracks anytime.

Go USA!
